The mansion was originally built in 1329 as a fort to protect and defend from turkish raids. Nowadays you can relax in the shade of ancient lime trees of the mansions‘ garden where time seems to pass slower. We are proud to be regularly awarded by critics. However, what makes us happiest is to see our guests return.

Restaurant Afrodita was founded by Marian Filo in 1994 in Partizánske. It soon became famous for its excellent food and service and since 2002 the restaurant regularly ranks as one of the top three restaurants in Slovakia. In 2005 the restaurant moved into the renaissance mansion in Čereňany. The authentic environment only enhances your experience of the meal. Chef Marian Filo and his team of attentive waiters try to fulfil your every wish. The mansion with its‘ garden and richly stocked wine cellar guarantee an experience which you‘ll want to repeat.

The personalities we cooked for include Her Majesty Beatrix, the Queen of Netherlands; His Majesty Harald V. the King of Norway, Grand Duc Henri and la Grande Duchesse, Maria Teresa de Luxembourg, Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations and seven presidents. Menu

We always bring fresh fish from our own holding to your table.
Surrounding forests supply us with game and mushrooms.
Milk, eggs and meat come from our farm at the foot of the Vtáčnik mountains.
Restaurant Afrodita, in Čereňany Mansion takes pride in offering you meals carefully prepared from local produce and the nearby regions. The Mansion grounds also include surrounding forests and meadows, which supply us with many fresh ingredients.

In the authentic arched cellars from 1329 wine from all around the world is stored. Carefully maintained temperature, light conditions and dampness of the air make the cellars eligible for long term collections.
Among many special wines you will find Romanée-Conti, La Tasch, Château Pétrus, whole collections of Château Mouton Rothschild, Château Margaux and Château Latour. The cellars also offer a good selection of local, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese wines as well as wines from the New World.
